Iran after the Iranian revolution

I have to write a research paper on the "youth culture in Iran" for one of my classes... so, I decided to do some reading and research and when I started reading about Iran after the Iranian revolution I WAS ABLE TO RELATE TO IT! seriously, Iran after the revolution is soo similar to Sudan after Nimeri imposed sharia law.
I mean mandatory veiling /segregated schools/islamicization(is it a word?) of everything....Can you see the similarities? Yes, this is what am talking about!

I will post more about it later:D!

A short history of a long war

I've just finished reading Darfur: a short history of a long war for Alex De waal and Julie Flint and I have to admit that I've never been so affected by a book . This book is absolutely unputdownable and it reveals all the dirty little secrets and history of Darfur.
Although, I consider this book a real eye-opener, I hated reading it because it made me see the whole conflict from a new point of view and solving the Darfur issue is not as simple as I thought it would be.

After reading this book, I decided to apply for an internship in "Justice Africa". Finally, I'm going to work with Alex De Waal! :)
